Google Maps Features :
My Location. Google Maps on Android uses GPS to show your location on the map. And if reading is temporarily unavailable GPS, My Location shows your approximate location on the map. So you can always find where you are.
New! Google latitude. Know the location of friends and status updates, and share your own.
Map and satellite view. Google Maps on Android gives you both map and satellite views of the area we are seeing, using an interface that feels like it does on the desktop. Go in one direction to see more of the map, or zoom in and touching the lens.
Street View. Want to see what it would look like if you were there? Street View imagery brings the street from the location you are looking for, so you can explore an area of thousands of miles away. With the compass mode that literally can turn around and see for yourself.
Business Directories. Search for companies by name (for example, “Pasta Joe”) or by type (eg, “Italian food”). Check store hours, comments and ratings, then dial the business you’re interested in with one click.
Driving. It’s easy to get step by step driving directions. Thanks to the My Location feature, not even enter your starting point.
New! Transit and walking directions. Get metro, bus, train schedules and in hundreds of cities worldwide.
Traffic. Roads in Google Maps are green, yellow or red, based on actual traffic data in real time.
