MeeGo is a Linux Operating System which is the result of a merger of Moblin Linux development projects (from Intel) and Linux Maemo (Nokia). Merger agreement between Intel and Nokia this lasted a few months ago at the World Mobile Congress 2010 in Barcelona (Spain).
Meego provide source code for the developer community that can be downloaded in http://meego.com/downloads/releases/1.0.80.8/meego-handset-day1-developer-preview. MeeGo operating system version 1.1 will start to be released in october next. MeeGo not only made for smartphones, but MeeGo also designed for operating systems Netbook and tablet PCs.
